Watch Tom Hiddleston in Sneak Peek of Broadway Play ‘Betrayal’

«Tom Hiddleston released a sneak peak of his forthcoming Broadway play “Betrayal” on Friday morning.

The Marvel star will take center stage alongside former superhero Daredevil Charlie Cox and Zawe Ashton (“Not Safe for Work”) for the upcoming revival of Harold Pinter’s original play. Using reverse chronology in its story, the play recounts a marriage’s disintegration following an affair.

“I first came across Harold Pinter’s Nobel lecture as a young actor, and it had a huge impact on me,” Hiddleston told Variety. “It’s a profound and eloquent articulation of the role of the theatre as a place to explore the experience of being alive, and the complex nature of the truth; of the many truths we feel.”

In the teaser trailer, which shows a filmed version of what to expect from the live adaptation, features a melancholy Hiddleston looking out his car window late at night in the midst of a heavy downpour. “There are no hard distinctions between what is real and what is un-real. Nor between what is true and what is false,” the English actor voices over the scene. “Sometimes you feel you have the truth of the moment in your hand and it slips through your fingers. But beginnings never know our ends.”

The play has been frequently revived since its Broadway debut in 1980, including a New York production in 2000 starring Juliette Binoche, Liev Schreiber, and John Slattery, and a 2013 adaptation starring real-life couple Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.

The latest revival will enjoy a limited 17-week run at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre beginning Aug. 14 followed by an official opening on Sept. 5.»

В треде ппц что творится последние дни... Аноны (нормальные аноны, не срачеры ), может быть мы временно сюда уйдем? Не только новости по "Предательству", а и все остальное, том числе сериал. Необязательно в этот тред, можно другой открыть, типа клон локиправды.
Или открыть новое сообщество, анонимное, но с несколькими модерами. А хейтеры пусть варятся в своем соку.

Я помню обсуждали такое, когда начиналось Предательство в Лондоне. Вроде аноны не поддержали идею. Но я за обеими руками. В ЛП невозможно находится уж.

«Jamie Lloyd Company, Ambassador Theatre Group Productions, Benjamin Lowy Productions, Glass Half Full Productions, and Gavin Kalin Productions announced today that beginning on first preview, tomorrow, Wednesday, August 14, Betrayal will launch a $40 in-person only rush ticket policy. Additionally, a limited number of $25 tickets are now available for purchase online and in-person at the box office.

$40 rush tickets to Betrayal will be sold in person at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre box office on the day of the performances beginning when the box office opens (Monday – Saturday at 10:00 AM; Sunday at 12:00 PM). There will be a limit of two tickets per customer. Seat locations will be at the discretion of the box office and are based on availability.

As previously announced, The Jamie Lloyd Company, the successful partnership between Ambassador Theatre Group and Artistic Director Jamie Lloyd, brings their production of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal to Broadway following its smash-hit, extended run in London’s West End. Directed by Mr. Lloyd, Betrayal stars Golden Globe, Olivier, and Evening Standard Award winner Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton, and Charlie Cox, all making their Broadway debuts as Robert, Jerry, and Emma, respectively. They will be joined by Eddie Arnold as the Waiter.

Betrayal will play Broadway’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street) with performances beginning Wednesday, August 14, 2019, and an official Opening Night set for Thursday, September 5, 2019.»
